Pre production #1

 The main group members for our film Where the Road Ends were Milan Thanath, Ella Netivi, and Lujaina Said. In addition to our core group, Giselle Williams and Taylor Donahue also helped support the production process.

On our first day of preparation, we met at Taylor’s house to begin planning our film in detail. We sat together and discussed important elements such as costumes, filming schedules, and overall organization. This helped us figure out when everyone was available so we could plan our filming days efficiently.

We also began rehearsing our lines by acting out scenes in Taylor’s living room. This allowed us to get a better understanding of our characters and how the scenes would flow. During this process, we shared ideas, made small adjustments, and developed our film further as a group.

Overall, this first meeting was important because it helped us organize our production and build a clear vision for how Where the Road Ends would come together.

 After completing Where the Road Ends , we were able to look back at our entire production process and evaluate our final product. Overall, we believe our film successfully tells a clear story and creates a strong sense of mystery, especially through the use of lighting, props, and editing. One of our biggest strengths was our ability to work together as a group and adapt to challenges. Throughout the project, we faced issues such as lighting problems, interruptions from cars, and the need to re-film certain scenes. However, we were able to overcome these difficulties and improve as we continued filming. Our use of creative solutions, such as a homemade boom microphone and practical lighting, also helped enhance the quality of our film. Editing played a major role in shaping the final product.   Assignment Description  For this part of the assignment, we had to create a storyboard for our film opening. A storyboard is a visual plan that shows how each important shot in the film will look before filming begins. It helps map out the camera angles, actions, and movement in the scene. This makes it easier to understand how the story will unfold on screen and helps the group stay organized during filming.
